I am very lucky to have some Ravens who sit in trees around my house from time to time. These birds are rare in my part of the world as old superstitions nearly had them wiped out completely by overzealous medieval hunters. They are highly intelligent and can even mimic humans like parrots can, which may be why so many myths and legends exist around them. I was taking this pic as one of them started to call out, fitting considering the theme of this image. The saying is quite an old one, related to battlefields.
